Lamps of 障子 style
Different parts of the lamp
Even though I neither used a single nail nor srew,
the structure of the lamps are astongishly stable.
❶ bar (¼, 15mm, convexe)
Parts needed: 4 long, 4 short
❷ [2] square bar (9mm x 9mm)
Parts needed: 8 long, 8 short
• square bar
(13,5mm x 13,5mm)
Parts needed: 12 for the frame
• Glue: glue for wood
When purchasing the bars, please make sure the
bars are really straight. Well, I didn't ...
The parts to be glued must be placed on an even surface and pressed.
Arrows indicate where the lamp screen is to be glued inside the lamp at a later stage.
Don't press too hard :
otherhwise there will remain traces on soft wood.

For the electrical material one may
• (re)use the one of an old lam
• buy a cheap lamp and use its parts
In any case : the electrical material
must comply to safety standards !

(Diametre: 5mm)
The frame consists of square bars

Drilling holes (green arrows) :
Diametre = 6mm, Depth = 4 to 5mm
Glue the lamp screen at the inside of the bars.
Platform of lamp : wooden plate (22,5cm x 22,5cm)
with a drilled hole to pass the cable and fixing of the lightbulb.
